Who was Genjyo Sanzo?

Genjyo Sanzo was a title for a guardian of the book of Sutra that also showed his rank as the highest rank monk. His weapon is a gun. It's no an ordinary gun but an exorcism gun made to terminate youkai (demon). Sanzo had something from his past he wanted to deal with in this journey. His teacher, the former Genjyo Sanzo, was killed when he was 13. He blamed himselt for not strong enough to protect his teacher and that made him live to attone his weakness. He had no parents so he considered his teacher as his father. He was heading to the west with assigment to investigate who was behind the chaos and also in the quest to find the killer who stole the Sutra book from his teacher years ago. The dark past he had been gone through had shaped him to become the person he was now. He was sullen and grumpy, rarely smile and not considered politeness as necessary in relationship. He just being what he was and showed what he thought.
